His case says he asks for "$6,000,000,000.00 (six hundred million dollars)" eh? 600 million is $600,000,000.00, the numerical value he asked for is 6 billion? I think his solicitor needs a new calculator. Perhaps the one built into Windows 10?
Btw, for thoi He could have paid a 12 year old neighbor kid 20dollar and the problem would have been solved
His email is in the complaint ... somebody mail him a link to the MSDN ISO of Win7 @ent007 With a name like Dickman, would you want to admit to paying a 12yr old money for services rendered.... Might get a bad reputation!
He sounds like a dick. In a couple of years he will have an OS which is not supported, then he will file suit again.
I completely agree, but... I know what Microsoft does and they do it to millions of people. And I support anyone who goes against abuses of power, which M$ clearly has been guilty of, more times than we will ever know. Going against M$ does not make it right per se, but it is worth a second look. Until proven the opposite, I can find nothing wrong with the guy. But you are of course right, we still know nothing to form a reliable opinion. Of course if he is a fraud, then..... And your doubts are legitimate. The point is more to find out what clout M$ has in a court because it is M$, if it comes down to a court case. If there (ever) is a ruling against M$, then this will make a lot of greedy lawyers start seriously thinking about a class action suit, f.e. against the way Win10 is forced down people's throat. If they settle, it will depend on the amount....
When the system is OEM, all responsibilities are at the OEM manufacturere, ASUS in this case, why would or should MSFT provide a non existing original MSFT iso? Asus would be able to give/sell him the recovery dvd('s), but the compliant doesn't trust asus...
Just what the legal system needs...more frivolous lawsuits. This kind of crap annoys me because it clogs up the dockets and delays other important civil cases from being heard. Cases like accidents or wrongful death, which should be processed as quickly as possible. They (Microsoft) should counter-sue him. Most likely they won't, but they should.
