I have an ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe mother board that was in a PC that I pretty much was given from a friend. I just upgraded the processor to a AMD Phenom II X4 925 Ver C3 (HDX925WFK4DGM) which I believed would work in the board and it does work however it gives me Unknown AMD processor in both the Bios and the OS. The board supports the AMD Phenom II X4 925 Ver C2 (HDX925WFK4DGI) per the Asus Website. I was wondering if there was a way to mod the BIOS to recognize the newer version seeing as how it runs the chip but doesn't post the model? The board is currently on the newest BIOS 1804. I think is a Phoenix Award bios but would have to verify once I got home. I am a complete novice at this so I don't really know if it is even possible. I can provide links and such if it can be done.
