As far as I have read, the InstallAssistant.pkg method requires having Mac OS in the first place. A typical hen-and-egg problem. The method from @coleoptere2007 doesn't require that.
Yes, that's right. I service both Mac and Windows computers. But my main computer is a Windows pc and this method allows me to download InstallAssistant.pkg to my main pc. I then copy it to an external harddisk. Only rarely do I need to install macOS and it is often updated so it is easier to just keep the InstallAssistant.pkg file on the external harddisk.
macOS monterey 12.4 added to https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...nks-to-micropatcher.82133/page-3#post-1735372
Thanks, unfortunately that hoster is really bad. Max. speed is 200KB/s and if very often reports Offline or File not found. Getting 403 Forbidden on all Mac OS Monterey 2.4 parts.
About the speed: The first file sometimes downloads reasonably fast (not always), but after that, something happens and the speed is reduced to 100KB/s. I can download two files in parallel, non-chunked/-segmented, thus, the major part is chugging along at ~200KB/s. I guess there is a hard amount of fast download speed per file. After that, slow download, and if it's overused, 403 Forbidden.
Monterey via OpenCore running just fine on a 2012 MacBook Pro, using 2GB RAM and a 5400 RPM HDD. =) Great project !
It is always possible, but often drivers arent existing. Use Open Core (Legacy) Patcher. Even latest Ventura running very well on 12+ year old devices (iMacs, MacBooks, Windows Laptops) thanks to Open Core (Legacy) Patcher. =)
I downloaded the Big Sur Micropatcher...I am running Catalina OSX In the Big Sur Patcher what is the application I run in OSX to start the patching process? Thank You
