i have done these for three times but my pc couldnt boot from flashdisk.

when we completed the steps, will anything be inside the flashdisk, a file or sth? or i am not able to see files for bootable usb drive?

    umut021,
Yes if you choose to Show Hidden Files and Folders Option here:
    Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization

You will be able to see the DOS System FIles on the USB Drive.

Hi, i search for all forum and i can't find a solution. After flash my bios, a Energy Star logo appeared on my Dell boot screen, i don't know if it's a configuration in awdflash.exe or in the modded bios.

    Sorry my english.

That's just because you used an updated Bios.

I didn't want to clutter up the Bios request board - so here is my question. I have this:

    Modified by: NoJuan999
    SLIC: DELL 2.1
    SLP: DELL
    Cert: DELL
Modded with AWARD SLIC Mod 1.37
    Mod method: 0+2

    Modified Bios link:
Abit_IP35_Pro_m629b17_DELL_SLIC_2.1_0+2.rar (ACER Cert and AWDFlash Included)
    (removed)
You can make a bootable usb drive using this tool to flash from dos:
    (removed)

I made the USB Boot disk. Now - I'm not sure how to proceed. Is there a thread that explains the 0+2 method or the method in general? I'm sorry for being such a noob, and I'll hunt around more.

So far I think I have it: Make the disk, toss the files on that I was given, install windows (I'm reinstalling), then restart, boot with the usb, and start the award flasher?

I guess I'm unsure if I have to do something in windows before or after Bios flashing. Will I have to avoid installing the dreaded killer update? Or are all updates fair game after a Bios mod?

I'm also not sure - do I have to run the Award flasher, and choose the bin file that is provided by NoJuan999? Or do I run a different file? There were two bat files provided - ABITFAW.BAT and RUNME.BAT. I'm so confused and have been searching for a while but I can't find the answer.

    Hi,
Can anyone please tell me which method is better to make bootable USB..
    1. Using the first HP Boot USB software? or
    2. using the cracked (internal MS DOS 7.1 activated one)? using internal ms dos setting instead of the BOOT folder

by better i mean Safer and more reliable

    Thanks

The cracked one is better saves you copying other files e.c.t. only files needed for flashing.
