    Looks like the Awdflash Utility uses a .Bin file for the BIOS Data Fiile, my BIOS File A10 - is an .exe file
    - How can I make that work, I wish to Downgrade my BIOS from A11 to A10?

    Yes, I have a DELL Inspiron 660 - the latest BIOS is A11 version, I wish to revert back to A10 version
    - Both are .exe files, how can I downgrade the BIOS, if most of the flashing Utilities requires a .ROM file or a .Bin file from the BIOS Data file?

    I have a DELL Inspiron 660 - that I wish to Downgrade the BIOS Version AMI [ I guess] from A11 to A10

    Okay, when I access the BIOS screen,the Title on top says : Aptio - Setup Utility Copyright 2012 American Megatrends Inc

    The bios in the Inspiron 660 and Vostro 270 is the same. It was based on an AMI Aptio core bios then customized by Dell.

    so what method or utility to use to Downgrade?

    I can only see one bios for that model and that is A11 any way example run the Inspiron 660 Vostro 270 BIOS A11.exe
    but do not try to flash then go to C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Local\Temp\Inspiron 660 Vostro 270 BIOS A11 you will find the files in that folder.

    @NoJuan999,

    Hope all is well with you. I need to flash my BIOS of my laptop Asus X53E windows 8.1 OS. It came with EZFlash in BIOS setup. Unfortunately, EZFlash refuse to let me reflash the BIOS with Error message BIOS file is older version. In essence it blocked reflashing the BIOS.
    I thought that maybe thorugh DOS may work. Asus has new flash utility and it is Aflash2 . What command line should I use?
    Can I use the Afudos command line you proposed by just substituting Afudos with Aflash (Aflash /K53EA221 /pbnc /n)? DO I need to change K53EA221 to K53EA221.rom? Your help will be highly appreciated.
    X53E has AMI BIOS.

    @ Tito,

    Thanks for the Winflash tool. I flash through Windows 8.1 OS? What is /nodate parameter.
    A simple guide or a thread that I can read up and understand what I am suppose to do is safer.
    Thanks.

    @Tito,

    Part 2 of my problem.

    Under Adminstrator CMD Prompt, How do I do to get from

    Default: C:\Windows\system32>

    to C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\WinFlash\winflash /nodate

    Sorry for me to ask you simple question. Your help would be highly appreciated. By right winflash.exe run as adminsitrator, BIOS update refuse to update saying the file is old (not true).
    /nodate is the key thing. Please help.

    Thanks for the feedback. You should wait until you get any confirmation.

    @Tito,

    While waiting for verification to complete, can I close command prompt and windows explorer?

    Update:

    Everything is frozen. Cursor does not move and that's it. I hope it does not mean it's bricked, is it?
    It is stuck at 99% verification stage.
