    Hi guys,

Not sure if this possible, but I was wondering if there is a method of making the board say it's an asus ROG board, even though it's not.

I have an Asus X99 Deluxe II, and there are some diff tools that are ROG only, but are simply not loading due to a flag, I was wondering if there is a way to change this to appear that way.

    Most stable bios is 1802

If you can guide me, or if it is possible and are capable of doing so, I would greatly appreciate it. I am totally willing to do it and learn also.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

yes, it's possible, search for amidewin.
you could first dump your smbios (!backup) into a txt file and then change the required smbios values to spoof a totally different board.

    best regards

This is exactly what I need, thanks!

To make sure things work out / little safer, would anybody have an X99 ROG board they could use the amidewin /ALL mydump.txt for me, just make sure i have the right strings. Obviously remove any SN / UUID's.

    Thanks
