It's fine the way it is. After 8.1 has been here a while people won't even talk about 8.0 anymore. We'll just assume they're talking about 8.1 unless they mention 8.0 specifically
I just hope that admin would have a clean-up of the stickies, everytime I open MDL, need to scroll a long way down (yes, I rarely look at the stickie threads.) Some of the stickies are old news, nobody cares, and some(e.g. the so-called win8 language pack download), I have the remotest idea why it was stickied in the first place.
Which in my mind is the problem. I say separate them. The majority of the traffic will migrate to 8.1.
