Many Problems with Lenovo G780 BIOS Mod

    Hi Members,

    I already invested an bunch of time to get SLIC into the BIOS of my Lenovo G780. I already posted in a german forum with no success till now.

    The problems:
    - there is no BIOS found on the Lenovo Site
    - backing up the BIOS is possible, put some data will be missing then, because it's Phoenix BIOS (I think)
    - using a marker doesn't function: When I use setmarker.bat oder clrmarker.bat i got "bad command" (I used SLP Marker Update Utility recommended by a friend)

    Is there any chance to get that SLIC workin'?

    I'll do that today. I can't flash because I didn't have a BIOS file.

    Edit: By using the command "MARKER.EXE /SETMARK=SLP2MARK.BIN" i got that stuff working.

    OK, but where I can get the marker for G780? Or is there a universal marker?

    :confused:

    Edit: I used the "Lenovo_G470 G560 G570 Marker" and it works for me.

    Hi,
    can i read/backup the Bios from the G780 with "Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0" so that is complete?
    I do so, have no a file "LENOVO-5ECN36WW(V3.02).rom" with about 4608kb ?
    Can i Modify (Whitelist) this file and pull back?
