Thank you, it was the hard drive that had the password , not the computer. MHDD 4.6 fixed it right up windows xp is back on it and running fine!
I lost the password of my latitude D830 laptop with service tag D32X9F1-595B. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
In the same boat. Hello All, I'm in the same boat. I bought a D830 off e-bay. it's a solid unit but the hard drive was not a part of the deal ( they were wiped and destroyed). I bought a new hard drive and new wifi card and then after setting them up found out that the unit bios was locked. the service tag is 1C17XD1-3A5B and it's a qwerty keyboard... Thanks in advance, Workstoo
This worked for me, I reverted from A16 to A14 and used the master bios key to get into the bios setting and remove the password. I can now activate BT & WiFi on my D830 Thanks so very much, this makes my week.
you mean u did the bios recovery method with the .HDR to force A14 .. nice. whats the filename for D830 ?
I have a Dell Lat D630 Service code #9F6VLG1-595B I need help with the Bios password. Bios version is revision A09. Thank you!
I have a Dell Latitude D830 with Service Tag 469BWD1. Can anyone help with a BIOS system password key? My fingerprint still works to get past the power-on security prompt, but I can't remember the password required to disable the password/fingerprint requirement and someone else is now using the laptop on a day-to-day basis. Thanks!
