hi please help me , what is the difference between legacy and modern? I want to build a install iso. BR
thx! what do you r3commend? i would go legacy, also is there a tut on how to build a complete iso? ALSO, does this inlude all the ESU patches up to date today? Thank you !!!
Pl ask OP of this thread for this concern . he better knows this then me as he is dev of this tool for which i am just helping you in your queries in his absence . main motto is to answer user queries without delay if dev of particular tool is absent or is offline to take some rest
yes simplix update pack 7 contains all latest updates . i am unsure if ESU bypass is there in simplix update pack as i always use abbodi1406 awesome esu bypass tool .
i am confused as you are saying it "contains all latest updates" and also saying "...unsure if ESU bypass is there" should i use ESU bypass and win update after MDL install?
via using esu bypass by abbodi1406 script tool you can see the very first console screen either bypass is already integrated or not . if you are confused via my detailed answers then i am sorry to say that i am done .
no my dear friend its not my repo but Wilenty Sir Github Account . he shared my tools there on his github repo many months ago
thank you so much for you replies @schubi and (\_/)^(\_/) Windows 7 Pro x64 is the best OS ever created IMHO ! and I grew up with DOS btw
Thx for clarifying! Go with Legacy its simpler. Both can install on BIOS and UEFI Devices with CSM enabled! Only difference between legacy and modern is that the modern one creates an iso with boot.wim from win 10, acting and looking like win 7 and can handle install.esd. But you have to provide a Windows 10 Source iso, too! The legacy is enough for most, imo...
I did everything as you wrote, unfortunately install routine said missin drivers for cd/dvd and usb, and wont even begin to install btw, i did choose integrate usb3 "legacy" instead of "simplix" i simply dont understand the diff . BR
Maybe try the SiMPLiX option. I don't know the difference... Sorry! Do you try install from an USB3 Device? Do you try to install on a BIOS or UEFI device? Which Windows 7 iso did you use as source iso? Also, which tool did you use to make USB stick from the iso?
i tried both usb3 and usb2 ports on BIOS device (UEFI legacy). en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677332 as source. i used rufus and choosed MBR and the baked ISO from the MBL tool. The thing is, i did use the AIO MBL first with the updates until october incl. but then tried your method with the bare one and the november updates. the AIO MBL october is still installed 100% correct, i tried overinstalling with your method to be uptodate to november, but get this driver errors.
What script and ISO did you use? Can you show the progress? @schubidubi All info is at the first 2 posts and the addons are published in the third post of this thread, no need to create a new instruction list.
Sorry, i thought i post the newer ones from abbodi1406 I gave him Downloadlinks to the November Packs or do they not work with your tool?
