I cannot get the setup to continue on an X570 + Ryzen 3000 config. 1/ I tried integrating the Ryzen 3000 Serise_149C_Drivers_For Win7_2019.8.20 from the SMXDIY link (zip on baidu) ├── Storage Controller │ ├── AMD SATA │ └── Samsung NVMe ├── Universal Serial Bus Controller │ ├── AMD_USB3.2 │ ├── amdhub31 │ │ └── x64 │ └── amdxhc31 │ └── x64 ├── network adapter │ ├── Bluetooth │ ├── e1r62x64 │ └── netrtwlane └── system device ├── amdiov ├── amdpcidev ├── amdpsp └── smbusamd It has the modded .inf DEV_145C => DEV_149C I put all those in a Drivers\USB3x_7_x64 folder and modified the dism commands with the /forceunsigned flag During Windows Setup, it says Load driver ------------- A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB, or Hard Disk driver. (...) 2/ I can browse the contents to load a driver, I can see the contents of my SATA drive (C: and D: because of old partitions), X: the RAMdisk. If I replug the USB thumbdrive and click Rescan, it's still no good. And when I attempt to load a driver to install (the amdxhc31.inf or AMDXHCI.INF) It BSODs with IRQL LESS OR EQUAL, or BAD POOL message. According to some users, those blue screens are avoided by integrate a "chipset driver", which is a vague term. So, I downloaded amd_chipset_drivers_v1.8.19.0915.zip from AMD, ran the installer, and somehow got the files from C:\AMD using MSI administrative install. └── Chipset_IODrivers Spoiler ├── AMDAS4 Driver │ ├── RS2x64 │ │ └── x64 │ └── RS2x86 │ └── x86 ├── CIR Driver │ ├── W7 │ └── WT ├── GPIO Promontory Driver │ └── RS2 │ └── x64 ├── GPIO2 Driver │ └── WT │ ├── x64 │ └── x86 ├── I2C Driver │ └── WT │ ├── x64 │ └── x86 ├── IOV_WT Driver │ ├── W7 │ └── WT ├── PCI Driver │ ├── W7x64 │ └── WTx64 ├── PSP Driver │ ├── W7x64 │ ├── W7x86 │ ├── WTx64 │ └── WTx86 ├── RyzenPPKG Driver ├── SATA Driver │ └── W7 │ ├── x64 │ └── x86 ├── SBxxxSMBus Driver │ ├── RS2 │ ├── W7_W81 │ │ └── x86_x64 │ └── WS2012R2_WS2016 │ └── x64 ├── SFH Driver │ └── WT │ └── x64 │ ├── amdsfhkmdf │ └── amdsfhumdf ├── SFHI2C Driver │ └── WT │ └── x64 │ ├── amdsfhkmdfi2c │ └── amdsfhspbi2c ├── UART Driver │ └── WT │ ├── x64 │ └── x86 ├── USB Filter Driver │ ├── W7x64 │ │ └── x64 │ ├── W7x86 │ │ └── x86 │ ├── WTx64 │ │ └── x64 │ └── WTx86 │ └── x86 ├── USB3.0HostController Driver │ ├── x64 │ └── x86 ├── USB3.0Hub Driver │ ├── x64 │ └── x86 ├── USBController Driver │ └── Win7 │ └── x64 ├── USBHUB Driver │ └── Win7 │ └── x64 ├── amdhub_PT Driver │ ├── x64 │ └── x86 └── amdxhc_PT Driver ├── x64 └── x86 So, I put those in the same folder as above and rebuilt boot.wim, copied it back to the USB thumbdrive. Thanks, [Uefi boot & install] works like a charm. I did not pay attention, the problem was probably the language mismatch. I have used 1803 as the base iso instead of EN-us LTSC Log @ glot.io/snippets/ffyddbyp5u Edit: does not boot in CSM legacy mode tho (asus x570-pro). Will try with a dvdrw later, or rather, make sure the USB key is MBR, FAT32-formatted w/ active flag Edit2: The USB was properly formatted, mbr fat32. so I burnt the iso, it boots fine in a usb DVD drive and installs correctly as well. I'll have to wait til I'm back home to know if the setup works correctly, but there should be no reason otherwise. (drivers are not in install.wim, b/c of reported bsods. I'll copy them manually on the boot drive. Could use one of them xml postinstall scripts too but didn't bother)
Hi, I would like to create a WIN7 ULTIMATE x64 ISO only (non-AIO). I failed a while back but that was mostly my fault for not carefully reading the rules. In the meanwhile, Enthousiast was kind enough to update the script for the "ULTIMATE" version, among other many other things. So I would like to give it one more try but I still struggle with some rules. Please be so kind as to help me with the following questions: 1. First rule states the following: "- Put a windows 7 ISO (MSDN Ultimate) in the "SOURCE_ISOs\7.." folder (x64 ISO in the x64 folder and x86 ISO in the x86 folder)" Where to get a that WIN7 ISO (MSDN Ultimate) from? 2. Can I use the WIN10PRO x64 v18363.356 ISO obtained from UUPdump? 3. One of the rules states the following: "- Put the desired Addons*** (.WA) inside the Appropriate "Addons_x64" or "Addons_x86" folder (when desired)" Given that I want to make an x64 ISO and all .WAs (DirectX_June2010, VCredist, dotNetFx48) have both x86 and x64 versions, should I just populate the Addons_x64 folder only or both? I believe some software still use the x86 variants of some WAs, despite being ran on a x46 operating system, no? 4. I forgot this one, LOL. Thank you.
@Enthousiast Hello, Downloaded SiMPLiX_AiO_ISO_Tool_v19.9.11.zip and extracted to folder. The structure appears to have changed from the previous release and contains a folder called; SiMPLiX_AiO_ISO_Tool_v19.8.22 All your normal top level files and folders appear in here. Safe to proceed? Or maybe move them out to top level? I don't expect it to make much difference to utilisation of the script - but one can't be too careful Thank you.
Save to proceed, i forgot to change the folder name inside the zip. But be aware that there is a new pack available, change the SiMPLiX.bat content to reflect the used pack. I didn't have the time, yet, to test the most current one, posted by @shhnedo in the simplix thread, and update all again. Also check for @abbodi1406 his WA addons, they may have been renewed, the links to his original publications are at the OP (first post of this thread) in the WA addons overview section.
Thank you but can't I use the "W7_x64_Ultimate_Only.cmd" in the "Single_Index_CMDs_Copy_2_Main_Folder_To_Use" folder?
You can, but depends on what you are going to use the iso on, if it's supported for 7 it should boot and install.
My aim is to create a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 only (non-AIO) ISO to install on an older machine. Via USB using Rufus + FAT32 + CSM. I thought the *.cmds are exactly for that? I'm confused again.
The commands are for normal supported systems but lately many want it to work on unsupported systems, like ryzen 3 systems, and then it works better with the beta script, it uses win 10 ISO + boot.wim but makes it look like 7.
@Enthousiast Hello, I was talking to you on the simplix thread - which was entirely the wrong thread - about creating an integrated Enterprise ISO with the following: en_windows_7_enterprise_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677651 SHA1: a491f985dccfb5863f31b728dddbedb2ff4df8d1 and the latest Simplix v19.9.11 with UpdatePack7R2-19.9.17 (as there was a problem mentioned on the Simplix thread with 19.9.11). I amended the reference in simplix.bat to reflect the change. So far so good. I chose the W7_x64_Enterprise_Only.cmd and in just over an hour and a quarter I had an integrated Win7_x64_Enterprise.iso Before I burned the ISO to a USB stick I tested it in VBox. During the install I was presented with the licence to accept the terms as normal but the licence was for Professional. At this point I though I had made an error in the placement of the win enterprise ISO. But when I checked the source folder the ISO was in the correct 7_x64_Enterprise folder and the Win10_1903_V1_English_x64.iso was in its correct folder. Then I decided to test the original en_windows_7_enterprise_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677651 in vbox and when the install reached the licence terms it clearly stated Enterprise. Last night I redid the Enterprise ISO and obtained the same result - Professional licence at installation. However when fully installed in VirtualBox the "view basic information about your computer" does say it is Windows 7 Enterprise. So maybe this is not a problem after all? One last thing. I attempted to install to a nice clean partition after burning the ISO with Rufus to a USB stick (mbr and csm) and the install failed with an error message. I googled the message and it is related to the boot manager. When I tried last night's integrated ISO in VirtualBox it failed with: Press any key to boot from cd or dvd.... BOOTMGR is missing Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart I'm sure we've all seen one of those messages over the years That's the situation currently. I thought you might like to know there might be a problem and you would be the best person to advise me. Previously generated ISOs with your script have not failed on install either to the hard drive or VirtualBox Thanks
