@abbodi1406 - Any chance of getting newest vcredist WAs eventually? Want to wait for all parts being up-to-date before starting my Win7 ISO creation. Last time, I had to cancel and restart mid-process.
Sorry if it was answered before, but I cant find definitive info. For Win7Pro SP1 on MSI B550 Tomahawk, do I need any additional drivers besides the ones included in the Simplix Update Pack (KBs)? On the previous page there was a mention of another AMD motherboard. Do I need the drivers from there or the ones included in this tool or neither? The goal is just to install Win7, I'll hunt for additional drivers later, so I think I need only NVME and USB3 driver. Additionally, in the tool's folder for drivers, USB3x_7_x64\AMD\USB_3.0 there are two versions, one zipped. What's up with that and which one do I need, if any? Second, I can use NTLite on the result of this tool, right? Edit: Additionally, can Win7 be installed on native 4k sectors at all?
Thank you. So that's sorted, USB and NVME drivers will be included. I plan to use "the modern tool", so first boot(s) should have no problems, I think. About the gfx card, it's a measly 1030 (I don't game much, if at all), so do I need any addittional trickery to install? I know about that MS article, but it says 'unsupported', not 'impossible' , so I thought I'd ask if anyone has tried. I surely will.
OK, but I don't see why Win10 LTSC wouldn't install... I see people all over the web that have installed Win10 on 4k native... Edit: They wanted UEFI/GPT. WIN10 installed, but Win7 keeps restarting before OOBE (it passed the initial installation). I don't know if it's due to missing driver(s) or 4k sectors. Edit2: I think it's the latter because I used the modern tool.
idk, here’s following circumstances: it must be downloaded to a usb drive/other external drive sha-256/sha-2 signing must be integrated into boot.wim and winre.wim since trying to load the file just gives certificate errors
Wanted to know what to put in Legacy_Tool_7? where can i get this script ? I understand that UEFI will not work?
The downloads are in the first few posts. But be sure if you’re downloading the full package, then please replace some files (UpdatePack, SmartFix, & addons) with updated versions If you’re talking about the script, it builds the ISO but without changing boot.wim (setup) to be Windows 10, so should work on OS that support modern 10 DISM (8.1+? For 7, 10 WAIK has to be used) UEFI booting will work, but CSM (or Legacy boot) has to be enabled to get initial graphics (generic VGA) to work, or UefiSeven can be used (replace those files on USB installation media), otherwise it’s out of luck. About what to put in Legacy_Tool_7, you put the Windows 7 MSDN ISO into that folder. I had to pause and then I came back. Originally I didn’t understand, because I have 0% knowledge of Russian. But now I found out due to editing.
Did I understand correctly. If I put it in the Legacy_Tool_7 folder, it won't work in UEFI. This is a legacy mode only. Sory for my bad eng.
it turns out W7_x64_AiO_3.0_Modern.cmd allows you to integrate a bootloader that will allow you to work with multiple OS (win 7 + win 10/11) and so on? Otherwise is it better to use W7_x86_x64_3.0_Legacy_WIN7_Based_ISO_ESU_With_AiO.cmd ?
it only modifies boot.wim to be windows 10 setup that looks like windows 7’s otherwise you can use any script. however, the windows 10 modern setup only supports clean install
I think I understand. Correct if not. The method with Windows 10 allows you to integrate the distribution of operating systems. for example: Windows 10/11/8.1. Right ?
this tool only integrates updates of windows 7/server 2008 r2. no other os. the tool has to be run from a new os (like 8.1-10, but for 7 the 10 waik can be used)
