Media Creation Tool

    Hi all,

    On 18/11/2015 I downloaded the media creation tool to create ISO's and a flash stick for the 1511 TH2 update. On that day a single media creation tool was offered, There was no x32/x64 and the tool didn't offer a home / pro version, Just Windows 10.

    Today I have been back to the media creation tool website and it is now offering a x32 & x64 tool which offers the home pro option again.

    Can someone explain what's going on ? Do I need to download and recreate my flash stick again ? As I understood it my download of "Windows 10" on the 18th could be used for both home and pro.

    There's home and pro on the stick now, and if you upgrade you'll get a match to what you have, clean install will be a option for home pro. If you need 32 then go back, 64 was the single button.

    There's only two, 32 or 64, they both have home/pro inside.

    Now it's posted -
    These downloads cannot be used to update Windows 10 PCs to the November update (Version 1511).


    I dl the single button and it was the 1511 update.

    I see "These downloads cannot be used to update Windows 10 PCs to the November update (Version 1511)." at the en-us website but not at the en-gb website.

    I don't have time now to try the two button DL now and install again, but will later, as this 1511 single button DL has some serious bugs and was BSOD like it was candy. LOL

    Ran every insider preview from day one and not one BSOD or on the 240, but the 1511 off the single button is a nightmare, so kinda hold on for a say until we figure out what happened.

    Somebody screwed up. I was hoping that they had decided to allow stand alone Pro ISOs to exist without tweaking

    It's only a problem for people who have a 8.x bios key on the system and still want to keep using their Pro HWID, for all the rest there is no need for tweaking the iso, just skip key and the home or pro choice will be there.

    The techbench iso's also are reversed back to 10240 :eek:

    Wow. maybe someone found a show stopper bug after the fact and 10586 is frozen.
