You probably want to try out the preview release—and you can. Starting at 8PM today, Seattle time, you can download all of the code that attendees at BUILD received. This includes 32 or 64 bit x86 builds, with or without development tools. The releases also include a suite of sample/SDK applications and the SDK (please note these are merely illustrations of potential apps, not apps that we intend to ship with Windows 8). The ISOs are linked to from //dev.windows .com You download with a Windows Live ID (which you might want to use to test out some of the new roaming features). 4 am UK time
The best day will be always in real life..remember.... ..but the few hours coming will be very exciting..... all of us will be awake to DL WDP... here ya go guys
So you will be able to download the dev preview with a regular windows live account, or will you need to be a msdn/technet subscriber as well? The reason I ask is because I see the web address is msdn.microsoft.com
i hope the servers will not be overloaded and I have to wait to download... I just looked at the keynote and it seems that they are giving out the developer devices, any hopes of a leak before tonight?
were are you getting that from......all i can see is a mostly white page with"The new Windows Dev Center is launching soon"..??
The build string in the demos is 8102.winmain_win8m3_110830-1739. Let's see what build they release tonight.
