Can anyone confirm whether or not ATI graphics drivers are working?

 

The AMD auto-detect software needs win7 compat selected. Other then that, everything else (GPU, SATA, SB) drivers worked fine without compat settings

 

Gonna install now, just completed the Windows Developer Preview with developer tools English, 64-bit (x64) iso...

 

EMH check Windows Update. ATI Preview Driver from Microsoft available.

 

Did you boot from DVD or mount it?

 

I haven't installed it yet, I just wanted to make sure beforehand.

 

Mounted it, need to boot from the iso right?
Because a DVD I got is too small and don't got a 5gb USB lol

 

downloaded all 3 in 30min but it was 3 hr before it was said to be up

 

I didn't try those drivers yet in Dev Preview, but if it's anything like back in 7955 and 7989, those drivers don't provide OpenGL support

 

But wich one is the best?My machine works 32 and 64 bits....

 

Less then 4GB system RAM = 32-bit
More then or equal to 4GB system RAM = 64-bit

That's the general rule anyway.

 

Did you make your previous OS partition active and is the first boot device?

 

Yea, Win7 one is active and booted from

 

Now I have 7989 as primary OS....

 

Did you format the partition for 8012?

 

Yup fully empty

But I need to boot the iso at laptop startup and cant do it from Windows 7?

 

Or will it ask me that at reboot? Since that first setup kinda scared me of not having this option..

 

I will be download this W8 in about 4 hours and i'll be talking....right now i know nothing

 

I have not setup mine yet, I'll give you the answer when I do my installation.
