On my test machine for Windows 11, I just noticed that the Windows Defender GUI is showing in another language. Anyone know what's causing this and is there a way to change Defender to display in English like the rest of the system?
I found an answer to my issue above. It only seems to happen with Win11 though, since I have the same setup on Win10. Besides installing the en OS, I also add the de FODs for Basic, Handwriting, OCR, Speech and TextToSpeech. Depending on the order of the language choice in settings, Windows Security will be displayed in that language after launching it. Switching the order changes the display language for WDefender. On Win10, WDefender is not affected by this and always shows in English.
does anyone have security health setup from canary channel? want to try the enhanced phishing and maybe it wont turn off after reboots
On build 25905 (amd64) and the version currently installed is from Post #184 above ... not 100% certain but i think feature is only available if signing in to Windows via your Microsoft Account and using a password... Edit: I Don't use the Microsoft Account Sign In but, have enabled the feature to see if enablement survives a reboot.....
yea i checked earlier and its enabled in beta ..i think this is the cause of phishing protection being disabled on reboot, the new feature doesn't show after reboot until you enable phishing and re open the ui...is bugged Phishing protection should be enabled regardless
