?

Should I drop the arm64 defender cabs for both Windows 10 and 11?

If you look in my signature below you will notice a Windows 10 version of the kit. New defender cabs are scheduled to be released later today, though don't know when as I will be going out to my mum's later.

    Excellent :)

I must say, at least MS Defender is not like Kaspersky. I used it once, and when I uninstalled it, I discovered that it had created very huge files inside the "System Volume Information" folder in every Hard Drive.
Wow, I was very upset, that I moved away my stuff, and formatted the drives. I didn't think an antivirus would behave worse that a virus.

I've used AVG free years ago, but never used Kaspersky. MS Defender is good enough for me, and I like updating weekly cabs that are used to integrate into offline Windows 10 and 11 images.

@Enthousiast I decided to have last week off so no stable defender cabs were released. But I will release new cabs on Tuesday and beyond until the Christmas Holidays. :)

Thanks @Thonk and welcome to MDL. I'm glad you find the defender cabs useful in your isos, as for your question about making them yourself all you need to do is extract the cab file using 7-zip. Right click on the cab file and then click on Extract to "defender-dism-x64" so it will create a folder with all the files. Then update it using the latest Anti-Virus and Malware definitions, and Platform Update. Be sure to update the package-defender.xml that contains info about what's in the cab.

As for creating the cab file itself, there are multiple sources to create one. Just search on google and type how to create a cabinet file. Like I said some time ago, I will never disclose how or what I use to create the cab files, the only time I will is when I decide to stop updating these cabs. But I obviously have no plans to do that as I enjoy helping others with the weekly updated defender cabs. :)
