Thanks mate. WL must have forgot to mention your post, so I will do on Winaero Also waiting for Edge Canary here, but MS still haven't released a new build.
I can't say this is directly related or if anyone else is having the same issue but I just updated to the Canary 211 build and for whatever reason it seems Edgium now has an "always on top" quality to it (not a menu item or anything). When it's running, nothing that I use will come to the foreground no matter what I do. I did a full reboot after the update, still no help. Kinda weird and somewhat aggravating at the same time to not be able to get anything on top of it so I'm curious if anyone else is having this strange oddball issue with Canary 211 - and no, it didn't occur prior to 211, it literally just started happening as soon as the 211 update was installed and the browser rebooted.
Yes, this bug appeared a week ago in Chrome Canary and was expected to appear in Edge Canary, it will be fixed in the next build that they release (as happened in Chrome Canary).
Gotcha, it is insanely irritating but I suppose I'll just have to deal with it till it's fixed. And with this being Friday there's a good chance we won't see another Canary build till Monday, great.
If "most popular websites will remain unaffected" then I don't see the point as it's the most popular websites that force autoplay on us and most of us don't want that crap. As for that setting in Canary 211, I can't even change it from "Default," oddly enough.
This bug also appeared in the Canary version of Chrome on the same day that the other bug you mentioned appeared.
Also confirming Edgeium "On Top Of Everything Bug", sent Edgeium Support that as Feedback as well... Hope they push out a fix late Friday or maybe on Saturday... Would hate to have to keep minimizing Edge everytime I need to do something else till Monday Update!!!!
Latest Update has a bug that will not allow users to get the drop down menu (on any site) via mouse or touchpad. Only way to select drop down options is via keyboard commands > TAB > SPACE > ARROW DOWN > ENTER Sent this to Edge Support via Feedback as well.
It's Canary, this kind of bugs (and other worst) are common, just like in Chrome Canary, that's why Google doesn't recommend using it as a main browser, the same applies to Edge Canary.
