I understand this is a Windows 8 forum, but what can be done about the Server 2012 and games? I keep getting "parental control are blocking this application" or something similar not at the machine now (work).

    Thanks,

Out of curiosity, did you get the games to run on WS2012? I was bored so tried the games on my virtual machine and they don't work. No window appears at all.

Funny is, that I was NEVER interested in MS "Games", until MS didn't provided them in W8. :D

I am old school, the games are for me something like Ultima VII, VIII, System Shock 1, 2, Final Fantasy VII, VIII, Caesar III, Hitman 1...
... from 8-bits (like C64), the games are something like The last ninja, Head over Heels, Fairlight, Dizzy...

...NOT these simple logical "timewasters" from Windows :))

...so maybe it is rather protest thing (like wearing long hair... :)))

That's the same results I get on my "actual" machine.

I would create a real partition myself, but I'm low on space to test. It does seem weird though since VMware can play the Windows 7 games in Windows 7.

Thank you RichARd Carruthers for the help finding games to put on my new computer with windows 8. I have a problem, the site I downloaded from said it is downloaded but I don't know to where and don't know how to set it to my desktop to be used. MFlyman
