    And also, I took training on Office 2010, is it the same or would I need to take a new course?

    To install on windows 8 with buildnumber 6.2, open descriptor.xml in notepad.
    You'll find these lines:
    Code:
    <OS MinVer="5.1" MinSP="3" ProductType="1"/>
<OS MinVer="6.0" MinSP="1" ProductType="1"/>
<OS MinVer="6.0" MinSP="1" ProductType="3"/>
<OS MinVer="6.1" MinSP="0" ProductType="1"/>
<OS MinVer="6.1" MinSP="0" ProductType="3"/>
    Add this and safe:
    Code:
    <OS MinVer="6.2" MinSP="0" ProductType="1"/>
<OS MinVer="6.2" MinSP="0" ProductType="3"/>
    Now setup will launch without problems.

    There are still problems with actually running the apps though.
