What's the purpose of the virtual drive? Has it something to do with the click2run stuff (which I'm completely unfamiliar with).
Any solution to run applications without internet connection? The package I downloaded is 900MB. Why I'm needing internet connection to launch the applications?
q: ??? Anyone managed to run the apps in Windows 8? So far, after a few searches I found that there's a virtual drive hosting the actual office 15 files. Mine is Q: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache] "Q:\\15006C.enu\\Office15\\WINWORD.EXE"="Microsoft Word 15 0015006C04090000" Q: cannot be accessed through windows explorer but I've managed to copy the files using the xcopy command at the command prompt. Now, if anyone has the know-how to make-it work, it wold really be nice. P.S.: Runing them in compatibility mode doesn't help.
Means that, if I copy all files from the iso in that drive (q) it doesn't need an active internet connection?
not sure if anyone's noticed but in the properties of the montage.exe it states that it is 'language neutral.' References were found of language neutrality in the windows 8 app store a few weeks back shown here: winrumors.com/windows-8-additional-windows-store-details-leak/
