Yeah done that. Also notice that Johnny Five's post shows 3 successful activation with different keys? Note - No posting of keys on the forum.
TerryB I was having the same problem, I just activated one copy... the secret was to run this as Administrator privileges.. I place it in a batch file, right click on it and select "run as administrator" and it activated..
I am doing the same - running with admin priv. Just curious - those of you that have activated - where are you located?
Watching the conversation here and similarly trying to activate, my guess is that this server is still active but it may not be ready to handle the amount of requests we are making so it is failing to activate us all so I would set task scheduler to run your script every x minutes and check it in 12 hours to see if it has activated your copy of Office.
Please no more scripts, that's the crap that hammers servers even more and results in them going offline.
yup, I played for a day and had my fill. It isn't offering me anything more than my 2010 can't at this point anyway.
Actually, I have a question... If I didn't activate Office 2010, I could not print documents, but that was it. It was fully functional. 2013 VL would be the same thing?
Yes. As far as I can tell it is very similar to 2010 in that when it goes into notification mode, you receive the prompt to activate on loading an application, and the red activation bar at the top of each window. It (VL) remains fully functional in notification mode.
Alright, so I've been doing some testing. Here is what I've come up with so far (my apologies if this is a huge waste): Originally, I had tried installing Office 2013 x64 VL on Windows 8 Enterprise x64. I was obviously able to install just fine - however, I am not able to activate against the 91.149.xxx.xxx KMS server. I receive constant 0x8007000D (data is invalid) messages when attempting to activate. I fired up my Windows 7 Enterprise x64 VM with Office 2010 x64 VL installed. I was able to activate Office 2010 against that KMS server perfectly fine. Next, I created a VM that is Windows 7 Enterprise x64 with Office 2013 x64 VL installed. I am able to activate that perfectly fine against the previously mentioned KMS server. I was hoping that those who have activated can confirm their setups. Are you running Windows 8 and Office 2013, or running Windows 7? I know that there are differences in KMS between Windows 7 and 8. However, I am not well informed enough to speak on the specifics of those differences. Perhaps someone with more knowledge can shed some light on this subject.
Well i think it is a problem with windows 8 then. i cant activate office on windows 8 with that server but it will activate on windows 7.
That "KMS server" is obviously an emulator since Office 2013 KMS isn't even out. There isn't any emulator that works with Windows 8 because it uses a newer version of the KMS protocol, and that's what Office 2013 uses on Windows 8.
Bingo. Which perfectly explains why this IP works for office 2013 on Windows 7, and not on Windows 8. So We'll have to wait for a legit office KMS server to pop up for office on win 8 activations.
So all those that have successfully activated Office 2013 VL have been using Win 7? We need to be a little more patient I think
If I install the VL version of Office 2013, it has a 30 days trial..Would it stop functioning after 30 days or will it be like Office 2010 VL/Win 8 VL remain fully functional, just go into notification mode,Please someone clarify? Thanks
From another forum @Wolken007 More patience needed Credit to @Wolken007 (not this forum) The word on the grapevine still seems to be that November 6 will be the day we get some new toys.
Ironically, I post here as well - posted nearly the same post just a few pages back. Sorry for all the rambling Some of the other members were able to quickly identify that it looks like the mentioned server is running a KMS emulator. That would certainly seem to back the situations presented above.
