Not sure what is happening right now. Just read on another forum (***********) that all keys have been blocked.
Yes... I just tried all the keys to activate Office 2013 on my Netbook, and I couldn't activate =( If anyone still has some working key, please PM me. Thanks.
I wish they'd give away Office 2013 like they did Windows 8..I bought 2 legitimate copies of Windows 8 for a total of 30 dollars..that's ridiculous... The office suites are just too expensive
You can get 30 days - turn off the internet.... uninstall the key change the key to any other... even the blacklisted or over limit... validate the key took, reboot and turn on the internet.... you will have 30 days... and can rearm 5 times so that is 150 days....
It would be very interesting to know if you can activate the Office 2013 VL installation and how. I have a KMS client key, but what about a KMS host key?
Not able to activate Office 2013 VL yet. No Office 2013 KMS Host Keys have been made available. I've been checking VLSC over the past few days and haven't seen anything regarding Office 2013. I believe Microsoft said that Office 2013 would be made available to VLSC sometime early-mid next week.
It's in the VLSC I have "access" to, the keys are there, every app is released except SharePoint Designer. Download them all, extract all the x86 ISOs into one folder and the x64 into another, it's equivalent to the "SELECT" release that was leaked for 2010 where Setup gives you a list of products to choose. My first impression: Damn, these new Office 2013 apps are F'n ugly. Seriously, the only color schemes are White, Light Gray and Dark Gray? And now all the links to stuff I don't ever use are HUGE. And Menu headers are ALL CAPS. So they fired all the graphic designers and had the programmers bring their kids to work, it seems.
Do you gust see the "sign in" icon on the top right corner on word, Power point, etc? any way to get rid of that?? MS 2013 is king of ugly at first sight... maybe I could get used to if in a few days (?)
The ability to sign in with an account (and many other settings such as the first run wizard) can be disabled through OCT (to customize setup) or group policy administrative templates. The "sign in" icon does not appear then. OCT is included with the VL release (setup.exe /admin). Doesn't look like the administrative templates for RTM are released yet, so here's how to use the ones included in the VL release ISO: Copy *.opax from \admin to %systemroot%\PolicyDefinitions and rename them to *.admx. Copy the *.opal files from \admin\<language> to %systemroot%\PolicyDefinitions\<language> and rename them to *.adml. Open group policy editor or GPMC to change the settings.
Thanks! it seems like for Office 13 the names may be different, I change the names and copy to the location you mentioned but when browsing to add the new templates it cant see them..
The "Add/remove templates" UI only applies to the legacy *.adm files. The *.admx+*.adml files in PolicyDefinitions are loaded automatically by the group policy editor, no need to explicitly add them.
OK, I think I got it loaded now, I had to reboot and now have tons of new options there, still looking where to disable that "Sign in" option, cant find it as yet..
Actually I found another way to get rid of the icon!! Bring Administrator Tools > Local Group Policy Editor Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Microsoft Office 2013 > Miscellaneous Bring the option "Block signing into Office" Click "Enable" and select the option "None Allowed" Open Office and the icon is gone!!!! This option also creates an entry in the registry: Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\SignIn] "signinoptions"=dword:00000003 In order to bring the icon back the option has to be reset to Nor configure and delete the registry key as well.. OR If you create a reg file with the code I exported above, the icon will be gone after applying it. To delete the key (just add the "-" to it as a new reg file , like so: Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\SignIn] "signinoptions"=dword:00000003 cheers!
The settings certainly are a bit confusing... after changing a bunch of them I went back looking for the exact one that would disable signing in, and ended up with a different one. There's "Microsoft Office 2013 > Tools | Options | General | Service Options > Online Content > Online Content Options", which can be set to block all online content, including accounts. All of these settings can also be configured with OCT and saved as an .msp file on the installation media so that the settings apply to any new installation.
