    Hello There!

1: The Office 2013 ISO that I currently have is one that I downloaded from a torrent website, this ISO contains all the updates until this month (Feb 2014)

2: Now, this new Office 2013 Service Pack 1 besides adding new features, it also contains all the updates since Office 2013 was released.

3: My question or concern is: Can I still use MTK 2.5 to do this integration? Even if my current Office 2013 ISO contains all the updates until Feb 2014? Will this integration replace existing updates? Or:

Should I empty the update folder before integrating this Service Pack 1?

Anyone else get 2 updates showing on windows update for office 2013 x64 after clean installing sp1?

    I get kb2850036 & kb2760587 showing

@jcroot88 remove all previous updates from the folder as they are all superseded, then place the extraced .msp files of sp1

For en-us locale, it uses proofing files for both french and spanish as well as the en-us proofing files.
People using the en-us locale also live in canada and often speak french, or the US and often speak spanish.
It's not a personal preference, it's just the way they do it.

Thanks for the info, it was so easy to create the ISO with SP1 using MTK 2.5 toolkit, I was just not sure about removing the updates from my current Office 2013 ISO before integrating the SP1

Got to give Microsoft credit for constantly rebranding things. The tile on the start screen is still called "SkyDrive Pro" - the corresponding task in the tray is "OneDrive for Business" - and opening it takes me to a folder named "SharePoint."

    Fantastic!

So as to avoid sp1 bloating up my C: drive:
    1. I uninstalled all pre SP1 updates for office 2013 pro x64. There are close to 75 of them till now and uninstalling them took 15-20 mins on a SSD
    2. Then checked for updates and there were 1082 MB including SP1.
    3. Installed SP1.
    4. Then checked for updates and there was only KB2760587
    5. Uninstalling all pre SP1 updates and then updating to SP1 cost me around 500 MB in C:

hahaha. And thats why I use Kingsoft Office.

you can avoid to copy those files. Even more, if you are doing a locale version you can avoid proofsp-en-us.msp at all. But who cares, they are 11MB files, compared to the monster, that needs 1GB to install.
Now the service pack is bigger than the original Office, which is an irony.

    Combing office 2013 rtm x64 and sp1 results in a 1.84GB iso/folder which is bigger than office rtm (769) and sp1 (774).

extracted sizes might have something to do with your iso size.
    Code:
    proplussp2013-kb2817430-fullfile-x64-en-us.exe = 774 MB (811,646,240 bytes)
    proplussp2013-kb2817430-fullfile-x64-en-us.exe extracted to a folder = 1.09 GB (1,180,803,677 bytes)

    SW_DVD5_OFFICE_PROFESSIONAL_PLUS_2013_64BIT_ENGLISH_MLF_X18-55297.ISO = 812 MB (851,449,856 bytes)
    SW_DVD5_OFFICE_PROFESSIONAL_PLUS_2013_64BIT_ENGLISH_MLF_X18-55297.ISO extracted to a folder = 810 MB (849,754,762 bytes) :D

Yes should be be, but who cares with say 0.5 GB of space.
I used MTK 2.5 to build the iso and it installed correctly.
MS released an office 2010 with sp1 but not an office 2010 with sp2.
Could be that they may post an office 2013 with sp1 though I would not bet on it.

It's bigger because the msp files are not compressed like the exe files are.
If you 7z'd the iso, it would be much smaller.

Specifically you save almost 500 megs when you 7z the iso. It makes it worth doing if you're transferring it a lot or with low speed devices, but might not outweigh the headache you get from other people who cannot comprehend an iso inside an archive.

I do 7z all important installers as a backup on dvd because sometime the original installer may get corrupted for whatever reason or from frequent syncing/backup across the system.
    Just wanted one more clarification.
I have office 2013 rtm iso and now office 2013 with sp1 iso.
Do I really need the rtm iso for future integration when maybe sp2 comes along (2015).
When sp2 is released, can I use the sp1 iso, delete the contents of updates folder (which had sp1) and replace with sp2 contents.

    Hello All,

I want to add product key into Office Pro Plus 2013 in order that it will automatically activate online after I install or re-install.
Does anyone know what file and how to add the product key please ???

    Thanks for your concern.

I too have just downloaded MS KB2817430 and tried to install it with my Offce 2013 Pro VL and got the message that "there no products affected by this package installed on this system"

However I have just successfully download and installed through Windows update - KB 2850036 which says it's the same thing??

Is it because I have a VL and the MS KB2817430 is for retail?

You can't have downloaded KB2850036, because it's only a list of all Service Packs of Office 2013 and related products,
and KB2817430 that's the Service Pack of Office 2013, this have no affect on installation, which kind of license of Office you're using.

I think there is another problem with your OS. However, I haven't tested with Win8.1.

Here's a screengrab that says my OS (Win 8.0 32bit Enterprise VL) has installed KB2850036 successfully and also a screen grab of Office 2013 status?

    SP1.PNG

    Office Status.PNG

It was showing to be around 400-500mb when it was highlighted as an important update.. and Office 2013 is now showing Version 15.0.4569.1506 which I believe is the correct version for Office 2013 with SP1..
