    For MSI (not C2R) Volume/Retail Office products, the update is optional thru

    Settings > Update and security > Windows Update > Advanced options > Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows.

    I forgot what the installer that I did use and the KMS tools, I'll try to re install the Microsoft office again. I am running on Windows 10 and the Office is on ProPlus edition.

    Note: The error that I'm talking about that keeps popping out ("'Microsoft word is trying to recover your information." ) usually pops out when I have the preview pane on. Every time I navigate to a office file it pops-out as its trying to give me a preview of what's inside the document. Hope this information helps. I turned off the preview option as of the moment and I don't have that error.

    Total novice here.

    Downloaded Office from post #321. But it is giving me the following error.
    "Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s):
    To install and use this product you must be running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1), Window Server 2008 R2, or a newer operating system.
    Correct the issue(s) listed above and re-run setup."
    ​

    I have Windows 7 Ultimate installed.

    What am I doing wrong?

    PS: I have Office 2013 installed as well.
