since version 2007 that changed, now at highly optimized version 2010 its simple the best security suite you can get for you $$
that's not true at all. still a resource hogg, and uninstalling is still a genuine nightmare. know out of self-experience...
Ok, I installed the Comodo Firewall a few hours ago, it seem to to be working very well, my system still runs fast which is good, I also found a little guide on the net on how to set it up secure as I don't know much about it. So thanks for recommending it
I discovered through this post Comodo Firewall and I installed it yesterday. I am very happy, I just worry a little and do not know how to set up. Every program that wants to print, I have a warning ... COMODO explain how to allow printing?
Actually, whats mind blowing is the ignorance displayed here. That is whats mind blowing. So youve set up a couple of rules there, good for you. Exactly how does that help you with stopping malicious apps from communicating with the internet anyway when your great solution cant even see those attempts, let alone block them? Can you answer this too, please?
You just dont get it, do you? How is a Firewall supposed to block what it cant even see? Dont you realize that this is simply impossible? Again: We are not talking about the general ability to block outgoing connections here! We are talking about the CIRCUMVENTION of your solution!
ROFL Well, i guess thats all i need to know about you. Thanks for the talk, and good luck keeping your data on your own PC.
In my personal opininion (and experience..), i think that the best combinations are: MSE+Comodo firewall Or Kaskpersky Internet Security 2010 + Iobit Security 360 And contrary about what some people say, Avast is the world mother f**kessssssssst Antivirus product of the world; it can't even heal files, only delete them...
When I try to download MSE, MS tells me, "Not available in your country or region You appear to be in a country or region where Microsoft Security Essentials is not available. Thank you for your interest in Microsoft Security Essentials." I guess I'll stick with the free version of Avira. So I guess that's out the window. Now, concerning the firewall... if one is intending to use an outsider firewall (eg: Comodo) it is advisable to disable the build-in Windows firewall to avoid conflicts, yes?
i agree, but u knew that alleady, fazor. they'll never get it, friend. Just leave it be, and just let them use win's socalled "firewall". It'll be their loss, not ours. I mean, they don't even know comodo is free, so you can't expect them to understand anything else. Let them "configure" winFW and let them think theu're well protected. ROFL
