And why are they dropping support for Windows 7 in the Microsoft Answers page that early, why don't they wait until 2020 when the general extended support ends?

LOL - me too. I've had better support here in an afternoon's reading than I've had from MS in twenty years in the industry.

Microsoft is actually doing something right, outdated software is prone to more viruses and malware.

Like anybody cares, answers.microsoft.com was the most useless place ever, frequented by retarded "support" staff.
Most common solution to everything was to re-install Windows... (which itself is not a bad solution, just bit drastic to end users that knew very little in first place)

So much thought went into posting this ms-support-style statement... Oh... wait, automatically rebooting to apply updates without the user's consent and potentially screwing up their work is quite unlike malware...
    /s
Every other week there's at least one person asking me to install windows 7 on their sky/kaby/ryzen machine, and I quote, because they want to use their PC and not live in fear of the next update completely breaking something. I doubt the support staff has any useful advice on the subject...

I think there trying to speed up windows as a service and charging a monthly fee , the faster they end windows 7-8-8.1 the faster they can charge a fee !
