    I really don't get the publishing of trials when the full functional versions already are available. As you can see there are people installing them and then complain about the lack of activation capabillities and they have to redownload a normal version etcetc...

    It's most probably me, but I am a bit confused about the availability of "LTSB 1607", and how 'final' it is.
    I have read that Microsoft will release it by October 1st.
    But there is already mention here that it should be available. And then there is talk about evaluation versions.
    Also I am not able to find official hash codes for it at Technet (as I used to do be able to).
    I am not able to find a link to it which assures me that it's a final untouched version. (EN x64 non-N)
    Help please?

    Hm, I just tried to dl 9059483.iso from the link posted there, but the first link is not working anymore, and the second directed me to a page also saying that the file was no longer available, but then a big download button appeared, that suggested to download some 3 MB download.exe file. (which I am guessing you really don't want to run on your PC)
    No problem, with the info you gave me I should be able to manage anytime soon.

    Thnx, but when I choose the link there, filescdn opens a page presenting a rar file with the assumed size of 3.3GB, but when I click 'download', it downloads a .exe file of 7.2MB.
    The filename is sort of correct, but the size and the extension isn't.
    (b.t.w. I upped it to VirusTotal, which resulted in 9/52)

    Please don't waste your time on me for this any further. I found a magnet link, dl'ed and checked it, and it's good. So I might not even check back here for a while.

    Thank you guys for the fast and friendly help so I found and learned what I wanted!

    Something itched about this, and I checked again.
    Now I see what happened. The sly ba***ds of filescdn have a big green 'download' button that I used and described.
    But they also present a smaller direct download link, which probably works fine.
    (and perhaps my adblockers hid some more explanation on that from that page)
