Announcement: Thread Updated "25th of November, 2009"

To begin with, I'd like to take the opportunity to present our users with our sincere salutations.. Hope you're all doing well MDL users..

After one month of cruising safely so far, I'd like to take the opportunity to announce an update to the list of updates in our Microsoft Windows 7 Updates Compatibility Center.

First of all, the update KB976098 has now been shifted to Important rating. This is due to the fact that the update has been pushed to Windows Update recently by Microsoft. Accordingly, the update is no longer optional as apparent. It's recommended. ;)

Furthermore, the updates KB973688 and KB976092 were also implemented and rated safe. Credits to Pissa for reporting update KB976092. +1 rep bro for the great contributions your offering the center and its users worldwide. :)

Keep up everyone, and stay tuned..

Hope Center is lifting up to expectations..

    Sincerely..

Thread Update: 9th of December, 2009

First of all, I'd like to inform all members about my sincere salutations. Greeting everyone.. As usual, updates have been pushed to Windows Update on Tuesday.. Astonishingly, only one update targets windows 7.

This update is Update KB976325. The update has been tested and reported safe. ;)

Furthermore, as for Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, this update targets various Operating Systems released by Microsoft. As mentioned earlier, its not system specific, merely scans for malware infections and reports back. For this reason, these updates are never added to the list.. this is because they are often safe. Yet, if circumstances prove otherwise, Center is to be updated..

    Sincerely..

Thans for the reply Mr Jinje, and excuse the delayed response. i was leaning tow ards that as I think it came up after installing my Logitech webcam, and the sw disc it came with. I uninstalled the sw, and just use Gmail's dl'd app. for the video/chat feature. Works great.

I had to uninstall a lot of apps. lately because of a issue with windows and explorer crashing on Windows 7 x64 Home Premium. Hopefully I'll isolate the issue and find the culprit if any. I'm leaning towards Mem problems and running some mem tests now to see if any of the 2 sticks of Ram are damaged. It's either damaged sticks or compatibility issues w/my mobo/cpu. ASUS can be picky sometimes in regards to Ram and certain manufacturers even if on the QVL list.

I'll search more on Google, and even here for similar issues to see about any solutions. If anything I just got some Patriot sticks that have been tried and tested w/my cpu, and mobo's chipset. I'll just throw those in andv really have some reference. If everything's ok, then it definitely is the Ram being damaged, or not truly compatible w/my cpu/mobo's chipset.

    Happy Holidays to all. :)

Towards the end, it's worth mentioning that all updates have been reported safe so far. However, the ultimate query remains with no explicit answer gentlemen.. Till when will we be confronting only safe updates... The only smart move in such a position is to keep the show on.. and trust me.. we'll rock out the show..
