Hi, I have not tried your approach, and this comment reflects only my two cents on the subject, without warranties, express, implied or otherwise. I wasn't aware that the newer server-only updates would modify the registry values when modded, and can confirm that your changes on SRVREMOVE.reg are okay and revert Client-mod 2026-05 to Client 2025-06 status registry-wise. I will evaluate if it's worthy to add SRVREMOVE.reg to my tutorial, as I've ran my systems without these changes reverted for about 9 months. Any additional documentation would be highly appreciated. My direct messages are open if you have any private feedback on these methods. Thank you.
I also only found out about this when I started modding it recently. I don't think it's a big deal as Windows Client will also function with those keys. Plus there might also be other things that we still have to discover, we really are on uncharted territories with this kind of modding. The problem is also, I can't find any proper documentation for some keys such as the Autoboost one. I have no idea what it really does. It could be related to "Processor power management" options such as "Processor performance boost mode" ?? But not sure.
Thank you for your work. I can confirm that your solution works on my dual boot (11/8) computer without any problem. How is your plan for future updates?
Download both .part1 and .part2 Then extract KB5087471_MOD.cab through .part1 I had to split up the upload because of the large filesize Ideally verfiy the SHA256 checksum for KB5087471_MOD.cab to be sure It's indicated in the SHA256.txt file
Thanks for the feedback. For now I'm just looking for feedback and see if anything can be improved or needs to be fixed. So first I might only do a v2 of this mod. I've already noticed a few things here and there that can be improved. Other than that, it will depend if Premium Assurance gets released for Server 2012 R2 I might release a modded LCU like every 6 months or so but nothing is set in stone yet.
