ASUS A8V-VM AMI Bios: Software used: MMTOOL.exe & AMIOEMSLIC.exe Bios: A8VM0502.rom Extracted: 1B Module to 1B.rom file Sli Bios: ASUS.bin How to use: (thanks to ztpkmn2006 for the English translation) 1. run mmtool.exe > click “LOAD ROM” button and load your original BIOS file. 2. in the module list(*or table) select 1B module > extract and save the file name as 1B.rom 3. run AMIOEMSLIC.exe > select 1b module file as 1B.ROM > select SLIC file as the OEM Brand you need > select your original BIOS file name and finally click “??1b??”button (the “revise 1b module” button) ,then click “???BIOS” ( “change to BIOS”) 4. and finished Buttons for the program were confusing at first. Successful Update of the BIOS as I'm typing this from the Modded ASUS BIOS PC. Next Phase: Testing with a Vista Install soon. Will report back if successful on the Vista front ( with Modded slp 2.0 support ). Darwin
Well, currently using Vista Asus OEM ( modded bios "A8VM0502.rom" and modded vista retail dvd ), have used another program ( "AMI_SLIC3") to test and apply the OEM SLA 2.0 and WaterMark to bios rom file, for the OEM.. install went flawless. With permission from Admins here and if they provide me the proper forum thread to post the updated "Modded Asus A8V-VM bios file". I will be posting it, if permission is granted.. Darwin
well noted, but I was referring to the rom file for the A8V-VM bios, which isn't posted anywhere on the forums. Thus meaning that I was seeking permission to upload the A8v0502.rom file ( for others that seek an already modded bios file ) thats already been modded. sorry for creating confusion here .. Darwin
