modifying the microcode? (spectre mitigation)

    Is there any expirience in modifying the microcode tables in AMI BIOSes?

    If Intel will ever release some microcode updates for our ancient CPUs (older than 5 years) to mitigate spectre, it would come handy to have these in the BIOS.
    And I won't wait for the mobo manufacturers.

    Yes, you can use UBU to modify AMI UEFI-Bios. Very easy to use.
