KB675605 (Windows6.1-KB675605-x86.msu or Windows6.1-KB675605-x64.msu) A GDR update that upgrades Windows 7 OS Kernel, HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer), BootEnvironment Core BootManagerPCAT components to 6.1.7600.16399 or 6.1.7600.20495. This update package is responsible for changing the BuildLabEx string to 7600.16399.x86fre.win7_gdr.090722-1835 or 7600.16399.x64fre.win7_gdr.090722-1835 and changing win7_rtm in the BuildLab string to win7_gdr. but Windows6.1-KB675605-v2-x86.msu BuildLabEx string is 7600.16397.x86fre.win7_gdr_staging.090720-1852 and other string seems be fine
I don´t think that is good to install this updates! We do know nothing about the origin of this updates. I prefer to wait for official releases.
I think KB675605-V2 nem is false (16397), true is KB675605. And the real V2 that was in the first package (16399). The date also said this, because wrong named KB675605-v2 was compiled 7.20, and the other was 7.22.
Hi Seems the files are legit. I checked the digital certificates and they say they are ok. Now Im no expert on digital certificates but is there anyway it can be faked? To check, right-click on the file and press Digital Certificate tab and press on ms corp below then press details.
Stealing is not good to those who shared updates, and that there no more updates for the world for sometimes... From Zukona..
That is weird the OP here did say he got it from a "russian friend", but I guess other people took the updates and claimed it was the OP's.
Yes, but he is probably mad because people where saying that the updates are not to be trusted and he took that to himself.
Sure I can understand that feeling. It's so easy to see if they're official just by checking the properties.
I would not update with those new updates, if it whas from zukona i would do it. But this is from a unknown source
they are from zukona, someone took them from his skydrive and released them to public. He intended to release them at the end of the month with everything included tho... edit: 24updates already, this package have only 20.
i just dont understand why KB675605-v2 downgrades from 16399 to 16397, adds "staging" to the build name and its datted 20 of july, while version "v1" of KB675605 upgrades do 16399 and date of 22 of july...
hm.. my v2 is dated 22nd. cant remember tho when i copy/pasted new with old, if i overwritten old ones or skiped them. But for sure i had at some point v2 with date 22nd. So its probably just some naming glitch somewhere...
i slipstreamed KB675605v1 into a dvd, and installed w7. yesterday when were released the new updates, it happens as i described above, when i use update KB675605v2 i get string "16397","staging" and date 20 july... dont know why either..
Sorry if KB675605-v2 is older because you are installing? should give the opinion that the update is not applicable PS:Sorry my English bad i are Italian
