Didn't the OP say 22nd OCTOBER when they will be available: These updates will be available on Windows Update Server, after selling the first copies of Windows 7, ie from 00:00 GMT 22/10/2009.
By the time 22 October comes around there will be a lot of normal Windows updates, security fixes, and even more hotfixes. Some of the leaked builds are hotfixes, they aren't available for normal download anyway. With enough time invested though (really only a few mins), you can keep up to date with hotfixes as many supercede previous hotfixes, even if for a completely different issue (later builds of the same files). With Vista there was at one stage a couple each day, and still average one a day or so. Its a great way to keep up to date Its pointless though if you don't get rid of the superceded updates. The hotfixes can be tracked through one of the KB article trackers though. Just something to keep in mind one Windows 7 is released. Reason why I point this out is not all the updates leaked will be available through WU, since some of them are the aforementioned hotfixes! It would be good though to get hold of as many of these as possible, for interest, including those listed in the picture earlier on this page that aren't included in the original post. Even that picture is probably already outdated
Windows 7 is not even out yet for public, so officially those updates are also not out. Microsoft can put any numbers on it till Windows 7 gets released on 22 october
See post 92 from this topic, more i dont have either. I have total 21 updates for x86 and 21 updates for x64.
I saw in a screenshot someone had the following updates: KB674101 KB974333 KB974431 KB974473 KB974598 KB974719 I can't seem to find them anywhere though.
Why not ? they are signed by microsoft. PS: You have a update from may, RTM didnt release that soon. I guess its a RC1 patch.
nice reading till page 8. now just a quick question, is it either for Ultimate OEM version? if yes, i m gonna try it out thanks and waiting for yr advice mates.
I wonder if these updates will be released officially via WU only on the 22nd of October... doesn't Microsoft care about all the testers, employees, MSDN subscribers, *cough* pirates *cough*, using W7 right now? Plus, it is a pretty buggy OS right now, even if it's fast and in every way better than Vista was (and I loved Vista). For example there's the annoying aero stutter bug, and no, it's not a driver issue, I installed W7 in tens of computers and it's always there, making W7 feel less snappy than Vista.
