odd , im running a fully legit Windows 7 Ultimate from MSDN - its 22nd August and theres no new updates available hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
ah ok , so it would be early hours tomorrow morning (23rd) for me then lol Didnt think of the time differences hahahaha Thanks Mate
Honestly I dont see the point about people jumping for updates. I only install when its on windows update / RTM of a SP leaks. a SP is all i get slightly tickled about...
^ but it does makes sense to install leaked updates, to see what they do (speed/ break activation, etc) at least in a test machine
Didn't the OP say 22nd OCTOBER when they will be available: These updates will be available on Windows Update Server, after selling the first copies of Windows 7, ie from 00:00 GMT 22/10/2009.
By the time 22 October comes around there will be a lot of normal Windows updates, security fixes, and even more hotfixes. Some of the leaked builds are hotfixes, they aren't available for normal download anyway. With enough time invested though (really only a few mins), you can keep up to date with hotfixes as many supercede previous hotfixes, even if for a completely different issue (later builds of the same files). With Vista there was at one stage a couple each day, and still average one a day or so. Its a great way to keep up to date Its pointless though if you don't get rid of the superceded updates. The hotfixes can be tracked through one of the KB article trackers though. Just something to keep in mind one Windows 7 is released. Reason why I point this out is not all the updates leaked will be available through WU, since some of them are the aforementioned hotfixes! It would be good though to get hold of as many of these as possible, for interest, including those listed in the picture earlier on this page that aren't included in the original post. Even that picture is probably already outdated
and whats your criteria to know if they are valid or not? and if they are official or not? and if they are test updates or something, or even downgrade the system which is the case of Windows6.1-KB675605-v2-x64.....
