So I got a new motherboard and cpu and my windows 10 got deactivated, but then i installed a fresh copy of windows 7 and upgraded to 10 on a separate hard drive in the same machine and activated it. The problem is when I go back to the old windows 10 install I cannot get it to recognize that the device is activated. There is only one device on my account and it says theres no other devices that are valid to change my activation to. Is there any way of making this work without having to use a fresh install of windows?
