    Hi there,

I want to move my Windows Installation from a Gigabyte Board (using HP SLIC 2.1 BIOS) to a Asus Board (using Asus SLIC 2.1 UEFI BIOS). Both boards are AMD chipset based.

Before I move my SSD to the new system I would do the following:

    slmgr /upk
    slmgr /rilc
    slmgr /rearm

After I've moved my Installation I would activate the usual way.

Is there another (easier) way to do this or am I completly wrong?

You can move the installation to a new ssd, but its highly recommended to reinstall if you change motherboard. Either way you cant just move slic, its not in windows but in your BIOS.

You will need to either flash your bios with a modded one or use windows loader.

Sorry for my lag of information. Both boards are patched already. New Installation is not an option. Moving Windows 7 on similar platforms usually is uncomplicated.
In general I just want to remove the key and certificate of my current installation in order to put in a new certificate and a new key into the current installation. But I have no experience with the behavior of Windows activation on "patched" platforms in this context.
