Hey, Still no luck. I have tired adding the files bios right into the boot files like in one of the links, the size is too big. well it looks like I am going to have to get a floppy reader if I can find one. editing ima files with crappy magic iso program isn't any fun either. edit: there might be a solution, i think i might have to flash my cd drive before I can touch the mobo... this is really turning into Inception.
Thank you! It worked. My windows got activated. Although, My recovery disks (that came with pc) still don't work, is there anyway to fix that? edit: I can upload the recovery disks if anyone likes to look in to see what the issue can be there are ; there a bunch of .cmd and batch files that do complex tasks, you can see them by extracting all the .wim files in the recovery disks. edit2: just found a DMIinfo.ini file, maybe I can add this info to BIOS to get recovery to work, what do you think? (i have left out uuid, support id, product number and serial number) also looking around the ini's reveal that there are 2 languages: french and english Code: [Bios Strings] Build ID=Unknown UUID= ProductNumber= LanguageCode=ABL PN.ABL=1 ModelNumber=e9260f SerialNumber= SupportID= Motherboard=Indio bid= PROD_MSWORKS=1 SFCHK=1 DLED=1 IS.N60d=1 ACPwrFail=Off Chan=Retail CPUFan=On DVDRW=1 LegacyFloppy=No TVout=NTSC PCBRAND=Pavilion OS=MSV LScribe=1 DVDP_STD=1 Vos.P=1 PROD_MSOFFHST=1 HDMI=1 FPA=HM C_NEP2=1 CDS_D=1 SW_Main=1 MSC-3-100-10=1 .MY=1
Many many thanks! And so fast!! Great. I will try tonight and let you know the results. Anyone has an intruction to flash this BIOS from DOS? Seems I have to use the AFUD4310.EXE utility? Is it not possible to flash the bios from the update function in the BIOS itself?
