Serg008 what tools did You use and what mod method you chose to make MSI mobo bioses (AMD) with slic 2.1 ? Yesterday I bricked my MSI X370 Gaming Plus when I flashed moded by myself 7A33v5F bios file. I see that before flashing moded bios I should made upgrade using original bios file and then flash the moded version. I made upgrade using moded bios. BTW im going to unbrick my mobo using SPI programer :D

Hello, First I want to say thank you for all the information here. It has helped me a lot over the last four years or so. I've been able to successfully mod a fair number of different Motherboards and BIOSes but today I hit a wall.

I have a MSI B450 AMD Ryzen Tomahawk motherboard with UEFI BIOS. Using the latest Phoenix Tool I was able to create a SLIC 2.1 Bios with no apparent errors. I modded the BIOS using the MSI bin file and did a RW Anywhere scan from Windows 7 and included the resultin ACPI file. However, regardless of how I try to flash the MoBo, I end up with a system that doesn't start. I am able to recover to a clean BIOS using the built in BIOS Flashback utility. Once the stick BIOS is restored, the system starts Windows with no problem.

Is it possible that MSI has built in a safeguard against any BIOS file that's been modified with a SLIC level? I can provide exact information regarding what I used and what I did. I would appreciate any help ayone can provide.
