@ Pip Jones, Have no fear this can be resolved. I have done a few Toshiba L40 mods and all have been successfully activated. I'm going to bed now but will post back later with instructions and I will mod a bios for you also. First off do this to remove any loader that is installed: Repair startup issues Put the Windows 7 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start your computer. Press a key when you are prompted. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next. Click Repair your computer. Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Command Prompt. Type (these commands are safe - more information) Code: Bootrec.exe /FixMbrCode: Bootrec.exe /FixBootCode: Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcdPress ENTER after each command. Restart your computer. That should do the trick! However if you still can't start Windows, then follow step 1 to 6 again and type this command (more information about this command): Code: Bootsect.exe /nt60 all /forcePress ENTER and restart your computer. Post back with a R/W everything report after you uninstall any loader that is on your system.
@NoJuan999 : #1032 Many thanks for your prompt reply. Ran bootrec.exe's - still same result (from SLIC ToolKit v3.0) My suspicions about a bootloader appear incorrect! ACPI Tables attached in ZIP format, I hope this is what you needed. If you need to build me a new BIOS, would you please let me know what I did wrong? Kind regards, keep up the good work.
The link to the download appears to be broken...is there another one to use for the MSI K9N2 SLI (MS-7374) bios?
