    Hello,

    I have MSI-H55M-E33 motherboard.

Untill recently I have used BIOS 1.5 , 2010-01-26 , which I have modified using AMI SLIC Tool v1.5.1.0 to incorporate SLIC marker for W7.
    W7Pro, 64 bit worked perfectly

Now I have now downloaded latest BIOS 1.7 , 2010-04-27
Using the exact same procedure (with AMI SLIC Tool v1.5.1.0) I incorporated SLIC marker for W7.
Checked - all seemed to be fine (msi certificate also matched the modified BIOS).
Then I flashed MSI-H55M-E33 motherboard with this new BIOS, and after rebooting W7 are no more genuine !
I have repeated the procedure once again, but same result.

It is interesting that using Everest Ultimate in ACPI section there is no SLIC at all !!!

So I have redownloaded BIOS 1.5, used AMI SLIC Tool v1.5.1.0 and saved BIOS with incorporated SLIC marker for W7
After reflashing the BIOS, W7 are fine again.
Using Everest Ultimate in ACPI section there is SLIC and it is version 2.1, so all is o.k.

Any idea why changing from BIOS 1.5 to BIOS 1.7 (100% identical procedure while modifying BIOS) SLIC 2.1 is not present any more with BIOS 1.7 ?

I believe Mr. Andyp, creator of AMI SLIC Tool might be so kind to look into this matter.

    BIOS can be downloaded from:

    h-t-t-p://eu.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1956

    Kind regards,

    sedmi

Have the same problem:( I've tried AMI SLIC Tool v1.51 and v.1.55 (the latest) versions.

    Reflashed to 1.5 version.

If somebody knows the decision, post here, please.

what method did you use? SSv2 ?
    try these mods:
    MSI-H55M-E33_1.7and1.8_MSI21_SSv2.zip (sendspace.com/file/puh8dv)

I use dynamic method. Only dynamic can be used, because original bios already have a slic (MSI OEM SLIC). All parameters of AMI SLIC TOOL have default values.

SSV2 can't be applied to this BIOS. How you can do it? I've opened BIOS in AMI BIOS Tool. After it i've got a message "The BIOS has already had a Dummy SLIC 2.0 table (MSI OEM SLIC) inserted in the F0 module. Allow modification?". After it radio button with methods SSV, SSV2 and SSV3 is disable, and AMI SLIC TOOL suggests only dynamic method.

Click Cancel and choose SSv2 method

    Thanks!

I've made my own mod using SSV2 method (because i needed ASUS slic, not MSI SLIC as in your mod above) and everything works fine!

    Hi Serg008,
    GREAT-Thanks
I have downloaded original MSI 1.8 BIOS, used AMI Tool 1.55 (using your suggestion=SUPER), applied MSI SLIC, saved, reflashed MSI-H55M-E33, and now BIOS is 1.8 and all (windows 7 pro, 64 bit) is working 100% perfectly
    Regards, sedmi
PS I confirm this method works as well for MSI-P55M-GD45 for latest BIOS v1.7 (RAID works as well)
