He also uses a beta version of 7zip, I do trust MSMG enough that he knows what is safe to use. Cheers.
I think he meant "safe" as in "can the 22000 dism do the job on cleaning up a 8.1 wim"? It should be able to do the job, afaik.
@MSMG Any plan add multi-process on SSD drive? Which may save the time. Such as: (1) mounting/editing 2 image inside the install.wim in the same time. (2) After an image is saved, saving another image when unmounting the image. (Saving image doesn't support multi-process, but we shouldn't wait another image unmounted then saving another image).
Hi, any advice on things NOT to remove for Windows Mixed Reality to work, other than the obvious things that state they're requirements for WMR, like Windows Store, etc.? MSMG 17.7 latest + 19041 or 19044 ISO, I get errorcode 15-13 (portal timed out) so it feels like there's something I removed with MSMG that is causing it. If I install untouched Win10 ISO, WMR works fine, so PC hardware is fine.
Hi friend! Killed a lot of time when I encountered this error. Neither here, nor anywhere else could I find a solution.It turned out that WMR crashes when trying to integrate something into the image (error 15-13). Just removing components does not cause any problems. I've been having this issue for a while and its been buggin me so much. I'll give this a go and see what happens. Does integrating via dism manually also cause the error?
You are a life saver, my friend! I am grateful for the time you took to write that up and share your experience. MSMG is an amazing tool I've been using and recommending for years. But after spending 5-6 hours trying different combinations of component removals to try to clear up the 15-13 error, the idea of giving up and running unmodified Windows 10 just to have a working WMR felt like the idea of putting on a pair of dirty underwear.
Oh my friend. It took me 3 days of my life to figure out what the problem was. Logically you think you break WMR when you delete something, but you actually break it when you integrate something.
