@pawlakbest. I don't know why users spend all that time and effort to debloat Windows only to turn around a destroy everything with Windows updates. Update drivers for better performance, sure. Update 3rd party software for new features, OK. But Windows Updates are unnecessary. There are many examples of MS updates restoring features that were removed by the user. See my reasoning here.
Go to uupdump.net Download a Script for WinDos 11 maybe only with one Edition included and Run the buildprocess once with Internet so that Updates, Runtimes are Downloaded and Includet . . . go Offline and delete in the uupdump folder the folder that has the APPs in it or keep the APPs they needed and run Buildprocess again that way you create a windows without any APPs they needless and the APPs wouldnt retain even when Updating a Live WinDos 11 or Install WinDos 11 Image. Also delete " amd64_Microsoft-Windows-Client-Features-Package " in uupdump folder so there is less SPAM when using WinDos 11 in Offline & Online mode . Also in the convert-UUP.cmd are Options to Tweak on off . Dont forget to delete the "spotlight.theme" in Mount:\Windows\Resources\Themes folder and also the InboxApps folder under Mount:\Windows folder in mounted install.wim with MSMG Toolkit !
It's true that sometimes updates restore things that I debloated, but that is not true always, and not all things are restored. As I said, even after one year of updating my 22H2, there is still no Edge, Store or Xbox bloat, but Ease of Access was restored for ex. Anyway, looking how 24H2 still has some bugs, I would like to receive some updates to fix them as clearly 24H2 is not ready out of the box, but I still want to update to it.
Using 26100.2152 as base would a god start i think because builds before had broken component storage and 26100.2161 introduce new errors for User interface.
Where possible I only download and work with Enterprise versions of Windows. I do this so I have maximum control in my installations of Windows.
@MIMMO61. Reboot, or try restarting Explorer. If that doesn't work, it just may be a quirk in the TaskBar folder. I've had issues, too, in the past with it getting corrupted.
I did a test on virtual machine, if I do the installation without network connection the icon does not appear. Unless it can be solved with NTLite, I don't know if it can be a solution to put a command in the iso that disable the network card. To avoid remembering to unplug the network cable at every installation.
I tried to insert the wim file of 24H2 into the structure of 23H2, the RunOnceEx procedure works, but the problem of the Outlook (new) shortcut in the taskbar remains.
I added this tweak, to be executed when user selects the "XboxGamingOverlay" component for removal in the ToolkiHelper menu or adds the component to the "RemovePkgsList", or adding the "Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay" component to the "RemoveAppsList"). Toolkit.cmd in progress.
