Cumulative update should be integrated in original clean image 16299.15 only! What image did you use?
I think that is the one I'll seek out. @MSMG I think it would be easier for you if you made a tool for LTSB and older. As Microsoft continues to make changes it will be harder to maintain support for the older versions, while adding the support for the newer Windows versions in the same tool (a lot to keep track of). An LTSB build is something you would only need to revisit once every 3 - 4 years, anyways. Having 2 branches of your tool would allow you to continue to develop, without having to revisit the past so often (making your job easier).
The only difference between UUP>ISO and MVS iso's is the black background at initial setup on UUP iso installs and UUP includes Enterprise directly (When selected to be downloaded).
I can confirm 7.7 is working fine for LTSB, both x86 and x64. No issues integrating updates, removing some stuff, but not defender. Cheers.
Thanks for the confirmation. I can confirm that you can safely and successfully remove defender (and anything else you want) from LTSB 2016 (x86 and x64) if you use ToolKit v7.3 which was the last version I used to make my MSMG modded OS. [Edit] As I'm sure you know, LTSB 2016 is the "long support" version of Windows 10 1607. Many of the changes made to the Toolkit since at least ToolKit v6.9 had less to do with improving support for 1607 and more to do with supporting Windows 10 1703 and now 1709. All MSMG needs to do is re-release whatever version he feels completely supports Windows 10 1607. That might be Toolkit v7.5 or v7.6. I can only confirm that ToolKit v7.3 worked perfectly! (v7.3 also happens to be the version used in the video tutorial on the OP)
I'm modifying Windows 10 Fall Creators x64 and when I tried to integrate Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5. I get this error message. "Microsoft-Windows-NetFx3-OnDemand-Package: The specified image is no longer serviceable and may be corrupted. Discard the modified image and start again. Error: 0x80073713 Error: 14099 The specified image is no longer serviceable and may be corrupted. Discard the modified image and start again."
New versions of SDK, WDK, ADK (17035) is were released. I hope the new version of ToolKit will support these.
7.7 -- Upon request, he was good enough to add a few extra toys such as removing all the search options with LTSB in mind. There were also a few underline apps which are removed too.
Thanks! Two questions, please Did you attempt removing Defender using Toolkit 7.7? Do you need to use the 'helper feature' with LTSB 2016 (1607)?
