You can use the toolkit. But it can only be done from S and Home editions only. After you mounted the image with toolkit. Then select [2] Convert then select the workstation edition you want.
The MMC Extended View is broken. Also, some of the notifications are somehow activated and if I deactivate them and open the settings app they are again activated but I don't know if they're really enabled. Quick Access still appears when I do certain stuff like manually update some drivers and during the install it asks how I want to connect to the Internet, which is weird! I used NTLite. If I don't remove Internet Explorer it doesn't ask me how I want to connect to the Internet! EDIT: It looks like the first problem is caused by removing Internet Explorer! Now what can I do to solve this problem since I want to remove it? The only advantage of not removing it is not having that network step during install! Also, what is this new Hyper-V Windows 10 dev environment and why can't I delete the vhdx file after I deleted the Hyper-V entry? It looks like the file is growing in disk space and there's a second file (avhdx) that disappears on his own and the first stabilizes in size and when it happens I can finally delete the file! It says it's creating a checkpoint! How can I disable this? EDIT 2: So, this time I didn't remove Internet Explorer but disabled it and I still have that step during the install and I still have the first problem! I managed to disable the automatic checkpoints and now I can delete the virtual machine immediately afterwards I delete its entry and the avhdx file isn't created and so it doesn't grow in size! EDIT 3: It looks like it has to do with an option in the Unattend section but it's strange that after removing Internet Explorer and without configuring that option the step doesn't appear! EDIT 4: After removing Internet Explorer with MSMG ToolKit I don't have the problem regarding services! How can I remove the Action Center with NTLite?
How do I access Dart 10. Which I integrate in to boot and recovery Windows 10 Installation using toolkit 7.9
Enthousiast, I understand that daveo76 has already successfully integrated Dart 10, that's not the problem... I'm wrong?
Then he needs to open an elevated cmd and type: Code: reagentc.exe /boottore And manually reboot, it will boot to the winre environment.
Microsoft diagnostic tools didn't show up. So I then used the same iso I created from the toolkit to install Windows 10 on VM and after it installed. I then booted to winre environment and Microsoft diagnostic showed up as an option. It my first time I seen Microsoft diagnostic and what it does. But it strange that option doesn't show up on my PC but it does on VM. I use EFI
When you integrated MS DaRT in boot.wim it will show up when you hit "repair my pc" during boot from the dvd/usb but when you have integrated it in winre.wim too reagentc.exe /boottore will reboot to winre.wim and it also will show up. Shouldn't matter if you have (U)EFI or Legacy BIOS.
It shows up with the same iso I used for installing on my PC on VM but doesn't show up on my PC. I might clean install again.
@ MSMG Hi when working with Toolkit V.7.6 or V.7.7 in image of Windows 10 PRO x64 (1607) I see step to step Toolkit working and NO show none error so I make DVD ISO to future install but always I like to see Dism.txt log (if have some of course) so in first log (25KB) I can see 3 errors in sequence I can see another file Dism.txt.BAK (121.380KB) where I can show images below remembering that some errors occur severals times and anothers no; then concluding I ask after my job is secure I make fresh install with this ISO modified? thanks in advance Edit: I remove only "unnecessary things" and don't integrate nothing
I did a quick search and didn't find my answer so I figure I'll ask here... Is there a way to keep windows updates from installing apps that were previously removed or installing new apps? If not, is there a script or do I just use msconfig and regedit to just disable what I don't want instead of removing it from the toolkit? I had removed a bunch of stuff using toolkit 7.7 and with the recent windows update I now have windows defender security center, people, and one drive installed...
Some people here insist that removed programs don't come back. In my experience they always come back, and more so with every six months big update. I decided to just use LTSB and add the (modern) stuff that I need. But even on LTSB, onedrive always comes back. Cheers.
