Yeah actually today message from Microsoft popped up on my screen saying "hey dick either upgrade to 1709 or you won't be getting our security updates anymore!" Then cortana showed up sayign i either upgrade to 1709 or she will share my email and bank cards deatils not only with Microsoft but with everyone! "
Thank you for your reminder, finnally I find it's DISM++'s optimization leads to some related registry tweaks
This gives me the confidence to modify W10 FCU now. I'm glad to hear that. I'm going to start modifying W10 FCU now.
Do it the right way though. Start on a mule system/VM and make sure things work the way you want and them move onto hardware you actually care about.
yep answering to MSMG my W10 PRO 1709 x64 after job with V8.0 works like a charm zero issues, zero bsod's, only requires patience and brain I think
hi, thanks for this new release msmg dont you think apply should be number 1 and rebuild should be number 2 also my iso size is still bigger than normal if anyone cares: i have this iso no bloat (not spam) *link removed*
This latest version of MSMG Toolkit is just super, thanks. It is also buggy or flawed. It says it removes mixed reality - it dont. It says it removes One Drive - it dont. But it stops 3:rd part apps which 7.9 did not.
It worked for me against windows 10 x64 pro 1511 and 1709 tried to use it against my wife it didn't work to well There are two files in the toolkit ones start and the other is toolkit, open the start one and it will work removing all those bad things from windows...... Only
So it worked on your Pc but not on your wifes, then it did not work as good as you say then, huh? I have always used the toolkit file, you say that that is the problem?!
anyone used the MSMG Toolkit 8 and removed stuff like windows apps, telemetry, Windows Defender, and now is unable to install windows updates? I integrated the latest updates. when I went online and checked for updates, they were offered again and fail to install
well the base OS was 16299.15 and after integrating the updates it was 16299.125. Even though the updates were integrated, they were offered again when I went online as if I didn't even have them installed but the installation always fails an they'd remain in the Windows updates pending list of updates to install
I removed almost everything, every app and component, of the advanced components I removed about half of them, Updates work just fine. It might take the OS a couple of tries to get it installed but it succeeds eventually. (I only removed stuff from the 1709 iso, didn't integrate anything) I actually find it more interesting that it succeeds, considering that the update I inspected was for the Store, which I had removed. I dunno why it succeeded installing an update to the removed Store.
