@MSMG ToolKit 8.6 Again after integrating CU in W10 v1803 17134.1 x64 en-us image and installing it I get error WU and message:
@MSMG When remove the Edge browser, should also add the removal of its Microsoft.MicrosoftEdgeDevToolsClient component.
@MSMG ToolKit 8.6 Rechecked again and created the ISO image without removing Telemetry (4-3-2). The drivers have successfully downloaded and installed on all the hardware of my laptop. When delete Telemetry, some important settings are affected, which are necessary to get the drivers.
how to change the default Windows wallpaper i.e. img0.jpg from the installation source media ISO to any user preferred image wallpaper via NTLite or msmg-toolkit or any other tool. I am using the free version of the latest NTLite v1.6.0.6174 & found an option under the section of Components/ multimedia but not able to change or edit that so asking this. Is this a paid feature
Probably not the answer you want but here is how I have been dealing with this from the start: 1. Install Windows 10 created via media creation tool (this will be a temporary install). 2. Update via windows updates (and then manufacturer website if any drivers are still missing). 3. Migrate to C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository and collect all driver folders created after install. 4. Integrate all of those drivers into my base image (use force unsigned to negate errors) along with all windows updates. At this point I have my base image, I do all of my removals from this upgraded starting point. I install all updates for windows manually from this point forward and only update BIOS and drivers directly if there is an actual need.
This is wrong. The system should receive drivers via WU. This method is not suitable. Since such an assembly is suitable only for me and my laptop, but not for others.
I hear what you are saying and I know that it is annoying but if MS themselves is breaking updates for people that break their telemetry we might never see a resolution, at least not one that works consistently.
Also, if you include some new hardware in the future, it won't work without new drivers. For what I read, the way to go is use v8.4 for now.
If you add hardware you should not be relying on WU for drivers, just use the manufacturer provided drivers. The only reason only I use WU for drivers on a preliminary install is because there can be a mountain of them, its easier to just just tell windows to update and then walk away.
This is wrong too, I had problems with these drivers that I got from WU, this is a serious bug, but cmon, you guys can't just download it manually? On my gaming rig I didn't had any problems by downloading it manually, I just need the network driver working, the rest, I'll download everything manually... Back in Windows XP, you needed to download everything manually...
I have never had a driver issue with WU all the way from XP to 10. Its not an issue of it being hard to download all drivers manually, its just time consuming and pointless. To each their own though, if you want to do it manually go for it. On my son's gaming rig I think I did the drivers for his 1080TI and Optane but that was it, WU took care of the rest.
