Fix for cannot change feedback frequency - is greyout Windows 10 v1803 regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate "ManagePreviewBuilds" = dword:00000001 "ManagePreviewBuildsPolicyValue" = dword:00000001 and after that you can disable feedback frequency
Another question: the program always prompts for the boot.wim file if it is not in the "DVD\sources folder" is it important?
Pretty much what I expected. I have run into issues with RS3 + CU + all drivers from a system sending the WIM over the FAT32 limit so I started using ESD in all cases a while back.
yeah i hope they delete the requirement of boot.wim being present it's not need unless you add a language pack i always put it there in sources folder just for the toolkit to work but i ignore it afterwards i only replace install.wim in the iso file another thing so i removed hyper-v packages but still i can create and attach VHD in computer management; so what's all this hyper-v is about, i thought it's for virtualisation only i hope it's not required for anything crucial for windows or any programs
Just for the report. en_windows_10_consumer_editions_version_1803_updated_march_2018_x64_dvd_12063379 - Removed all unnecessary editions (kept only "Professional") - Integrated latest Cumulative Update (KB4103721) - Integrated network card driver - Removed everything in "Metro Apps" - Removed everything in "Windows Components" - Removed everything except Telemetry in "Advanced Windows Components" - Applied few tweaks in Tweaks menu - Cleanup & Apply & Rebuild, Make ISO Everything went fine, without any errors! Final ISO size is 2.92 GB (original ISO size was 4.36 GB).
I have removed Hyper-V from iso then install on my pc long ago but i need Hyper-V now... Is there a way to install Hyper-V ?
hello Did you remove also windows defender? Are still working windows update and automatic drivers update?
Hey, I did remove Defender but didn't remove Telemetry because from what I read at few last pages of the thread it can break some stuff (including automatic drivers update). Yet I haven't tested Windows Update because I always disable it and install everything manually (if needed), especially drivers (I don't like that despite I disable automatic driver update WU still installs unnecessary drivers like Intel Management Engine or Intel Chipset).
I have removed everything incl. telemetry, everything is buttery smooth, better than W7. The only thing is when i open 3D applications, it gives me an annoying popup that an app cannot be open, probably because store went missing EDIT: the popu tells ms-gamingoverlay ???? dunno what is this, but games do work
