IIRC the only issue reported thus far concerning the removal of Telemetry, was breaking the possibility of updating drivers through WU - which is not a big deal for me. Not being able to integrate CU's however, is of course crucial.

 

At the very most a MB. But surely there should be change in filesize at all if I am doing exactly the same thing each time?

 

I always advise not to mess with telemetry.

 

What is the point of making a new image if the resulting image has to be exactly the same?
If you repeated the procedure to integrate newer updates, then it is obvious there will be a slight difference in size.

I can't imagine you are making a new image with the same updates and the same steps.

Not true. Everything is removed perfectly.

 

Well I was testing running multiple instances of MSMG Toolkit at the same time. I compared ISO filesizes to check that nothing major was wrong. When I checked, the sizes were different. This is when I started testing one instance of MSMG like I usually do, to see what was happening.

I have have been using exactly the same update and steps to check if the image stays the same size or not - and it does not stay the same size, it varies. I have been extra careful in my testing, ensuring I follow the same steps each time.

 

Mine removed these apps, are you using the latest version of the toolkit?

Are you using differents name when exporting your ISO ? When using differents name, my iso where not the same size too.

Because if you do something the same, you expect the result to be the same. Why would it not be?

This is not paranoia. I am taking notice of what happens to ensure the results are consistent.

 

If it works don't worry about it. So long as it is consistent in the operation is what matters. That is consistency, not a couple of bytes here or there.

Why are you quoting such an old message? The removal of Telemetry has been available for quite some time now: it was introduced in version 8.6, released on May 8th.

 

i try install my personnal iso build with toolkit no problem, but if i test with sfc /scannow i have multiple error i fix with dism but it's normal?

i have remove gambar quick assist,etc in my iso just install store+edge+integrate old photoviewer
