Any reason why DISM would be throwing out "The Windows Package Doesn't Exist..."? I got a full listing of all the bundled goodies using DISM, the listing contains a lot trailed with ~amd64~~10.0.17692.1000 all on 800ish separate lines. I scanned through, removing what I saw was essential - then copied the rest into the RemovePkgs txt. I'm not sure if the thing would boot but anyway... any reason why the output of things being removed is intermittent? Can you possibly look into how extensive component removal can be in order to create a barebones Windows ISO? I'm talking boot, start menu, metro support but lacking most packages without creating a lot of 'broken links' within the end-user interface. Then again, I suspect a lot 'soft' dependencies can be "patched out" with care. An option based on keeping the bare minimum to boot, then adding stuff like printing support would be cool.
I've Got A Question, I Just Downloaded MSGm and Was Woundering If I Need The 32giga bytes sized Windows Server or Is It Possible To trim Out uneeded Software to make it a More Managable Size and retain full functions. The Reason for This Is I'm using Server as A Virtual Update server for my main os And Have Limited Disk Space.
I Downloaded The File From MEGA And At The Time It Said And I Quote "32.28Gbs %hrs and 24 Seconds To Complete I Cannot at this time Locate The 32 GB File But At The Time I downloaded This file It Said 32GB A Freind Of My Also Sya this.
Thanx I Would Have Probable made The Same Mistake Again And Again If you hadn't told me which to go to
MSMG8.6 Windows 1803 Windows update can't search drivers for the devices when removing Microsoft Telemetry Services The Sync settings option isn't available once I remove Microsoft OneDrive Desktop Client Please separate Setting Sync from Onedrive Client, thank you
MSMG8.6 Windows 1803 Windows update can't install updates (for example kb4284848) even if I leave Microsoft Telemetry Services - error 0x800736b3. P.S. There were no .NET 3.5 integration.
Yes - previous CU. Ok. I'll try without updates but if I do so Windows will download and install updates with all crap that I removed right? What about .NET 3.5? Is it safe to integrate or better not to do it?
Question- is it alright if i first integrate updates in win 7 using simplix pack with boss911 integrator and after that i use msmg for integrating .net 4.7.1, direcx and dart. and similar to this is it alright if i first integrate updates in win 8.1 and 10 using whd and w8ui and w10ui by abbodi and after that i use msmg for integrating directx and dart.
Hey guy's, I have a couple things I need help on. OK so, I have the "Retail" Windows 10 64bit ISO, which has about 12 indexes. Q-1: Is there a proper way of selecting 2 indexes at once, that are not in a full range, or just a single index? Can 2 different indexes be selected if they are say... separated by a comma? WIN10 Pro is index #6 WIN10 Pro WS is #10. Can I do this: 6, 10 or 6,10 And... 2 Since I want to modify #6 & 10 indexes only, I only want to keep my modified Pro & Pro Workstation builds. Q-2: Does selecting and modifying an index completely remove it from the oiginal ISO after I apply setting/save/rebuild ISO process? Or are all 12 indexes put back together on the final image, with Home, Home N, etc. still present? Thanks for any help...
Remove the indexes you don't want and then the remaining indexes will be the only ones modified. There is an options to do this in one of the menus.
