So does anybody know what's involved in the removal of defender without corrupting SFC?

If you are talking about from 1809, waiting for the new toolkit build.

First I receive this error: Toolkit cannot service Windows 10 source OS on Windows 7 host OS.
Second I tried to edit Windows 7 Ultimate and I receive this: The component removal for these OS has been temporarily removed...
Please do use Toolkit v8.8 for Windows 7
Then I tried to downdolad v8.8 from first post. But mega.nz always stop %2 of download.
    Please somebody help me.

Why do so many people want to remove defender? Isn't the one with Windows 10 one of the highest rated anti-malware programs?

I've read that it's very resource heavy (contrary to popular belief).

Never said I believed it. It was a speculation on why so many people would want to remove it.
I do, however, notice the MsMpEng process using quite a bit of CPU at times.

Main reason for me is I simply don't trust Microsoft when it comes to security. I've been using their products since they went public and seen blatant security flaws with impotent attempts to address them over the years. I'll stick with a third party solution. That being the case I want Defender removed or at least completely disabled.
